Snowshoe Hike at David Dana Forest (Dalton) *** RESCHEDULED SUNDAY January 14, 2018
NOTE NEW DATE – SUNDAY JANUARY 14. WE ARE ASKING PEOPLE TO RSVP IF YOU ARE INTENDING TO ATTEND THE RESCHEDULED HIKE. SEE RSVP BUTTON BELOW. Join us for a ~2 hour snowshoe on easy terrain to get to know the David Dana Forest in Dalton, NH. Features of the property include dense softwood cover, an old apple orchard, and an abandoned gold mine. The gold mine is an excavated cliff that is now filled with water and rocks. Bring your own snowshoes, water and snacks and dress appropriately for the weather (lots of warm layers). We will meet at the Rocks Estate in Bethlehem (4 Christmas Lane, Bethlehem, NH) and carpool to the Dana Forest as parking is limited.
Please be at Rocks Estate by 8:30 am if you want to join the hike. Questions? Email Nigel Manley, Director of the Rocks Estate, at [email protected]
